North Eastern Vietnam- near Halong City
Facts This area has 1,960 Islets covering an area of more than 1,553 Sq. Km. These are ancient Beautiful Limestone Formations. Home to 14 Floral Species and 60 Faunal Species. It is an Environmentally Sensitive Region. It is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Locals tell of Interesting Legends of Dragons coming to aid the People in ancient times against invaders. This was the seat of ancient Vietnamese Civilization. You can see interesting Villages living entirely on Floating Houses. Whilst there you can take trips on Chinese Junks to tour around the Islets. You can even Choose to spend a couple of nights abroad these Junks. These are fully equipped with all Meals and Beds.
