Location

Sihanoukville is located on the Southern Coast of Cambodia. The town is surrounded by Hills, Islands and Beautiful Beaches. It is also the main Port of Cambodia. There are many Banks and Consulates in downtown Sihanouk Ville. Many of these nearby Islands are sparsely populated but basic accommodation is available. These Islands offer excellent Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, Fishing, Kayaking, Jet Skiing and other Sea Sports. Most of the Hotels, Clubs and Restaurants are foreign owned and offer excellent Service and are of High quality. There are six Beach stretches- The Victory Beach, Independence Beach, Sokha Beach, Otres Beach, Serendipity Beach and Occheuteal Beach. While in Sihanouk Ville do take a Tour of the Angkor Brewery. Set aside a day to visit the Ream National Park. This undeveloped area is great for spotting Dolphins and Monkeys.

Sihanoukville Attractions:

• Bamboo Island- 30 min boat ride. Laid back atmosphere- great for relaxation. Enjoy fresh Seafood barbeques

• Scuba Diving at various wrecks.

• Ream National park-Set amidst partly in Mangrove trees, one get to see many local mammals and Birds.

• Ta-Aun and Phnom Sia Caves- This half day trip. Charming formation of stalagmites and fissures.

• Kon Tonsay or Rabbit island-shallow Sea suitable for swimmers. Plenty of Coral formations and small colorful Tropical fishes.

• Boat trips to small nearby Islets.

• Spend your time on the many beach stretches- Sokha Beach, Otres etc.

The best way to get to Sihanoukville is by road from Phnom Penh. The journey takes about 3.5 hours on the newly opened highway. So after a tiring trip to Temples and Cites all over Cambodia, head to the Beaches in Sihanoukville to enjoy the Sun and total Relaxation and of course, don't forget the Cambodian beer.
