Phnom Penh
Location Phnom Penh is the National Capital and the largest city in Cambodia. It is located at the confluence of the Mekong river, Tonle Sap and Bassac River. The climate here is Tropical - Wet and Dry. It is fast becoming a metropolis. most of the Cambodian Economic Development is centered here. There are many attractions this city offers. The Famous temple Wat Phnom, Royal Palace with the Silver Pagoda, The National Museum which houses many Khmer Antiquities. Due to the French Colonial Architectural Influence on the Buildings and wide Beautiful Boulevards, add lots of character to the city. To understand the recent Tragic History of Cambodia you need to visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. It is a former High School used by the Khmer Rouge as a Concentration and Torture camp from 1975 to 1979. Of the estimated 17,000 prisoners only a few survived. Phnom Penh Attractions:
The are many Daily International Flights that arrive at the Phnom Penh international Airport from all over the World. For the more adventurous one can travel overland form Thailand by Road and take the ferry on the Tonle Sap.
